CROATIAN WALL CALENDAR 2019

$25 US

The Croatian language is rather unique in that the names of the months are not derived from old Roman names but have a Slavic origin.

It's difficult for a new learner, I know, but you can always use the other common way of refering to the months -- to call them by their ordinal number.

For example, if you want to say, I am coming in March, you can always say Dolazim u trećem mjesecu (I am coming in the third month). You will hear this all the time in Croatia.

In order to remember the Croatian names of the months and weekdays, I've created this bilingual English/Croatian wall calendar with the origin of the names explained on the bottom of each page.

And if you - or your kids - never learned these names, now is your chance!

The calendar has all the official Croatian, American, Canadian, Australian and New Zealand holidays, so if anybody ever asks you whenVelika Gospa* is, you will instantly know it falls on August 15th.

Oh, I almost forgot! The calendar also has twelve of my photographs of Croatia which can all be framed.

*Velika Gospa is the Day of Assumption of the Virgin Mary in the Catholic religion.

"Thank you for your beautiful work... it has been a pleasure talking to you, I've never seen art as romantic as yours... Thank you for the Rose!"

Robert Rifka Bleemer - Designer

“I saw your print of the Croatian Rose on the internet and it was beautiful! The house behind the rose bush reminded me of my grandparents' home in southern Croatia. I'm always looking for Croatian things for my home and I am thrilled to have found your print."

Helen Klarich - U of Kentucky

"Your photograph touched me deeply and reminded me how proud I am of where I am from. My family members will surely enjoy their Christmas gifts."

A Word From The Artist

“I have created this Croatian Calendar because I wanted people to enjoy my photographs and at the same learn something about Croatia and its language. Calendar format seemed to present an excellent way to do both.” Milena Sorée
